We've created this blog in anticipation of the arrival of our first baby. Hopefully through this our friends and family across the pond and all over the States will be able to watch our family grow and get to know baby Melanie.

Time Flies!!
A month has gone by already and I can't believe it!! It has been an amazing month of healing and getting to know eachother, along with some snuggles and LOTS of picture taking. I've never loved anyone so much as I love this new little baby. She is such a sweet, pleasant baby too, we are so lucky. We are both doing really well and seemed to heal and settle back at home relatively easy. Gaz's mom was able to come out for Melanie's birth and she and my mom spent a lot time with us at the hospital and helping out when we got home. Now we are just getting ready for Christmas and for Ross and Gregg (Gaz's brothers) to arrive for Christmas and New Year. We are so happy to have the opportunity to celebrate Melanie's first Christmas with family from both sides. Eventually we hope to make a Christmas trip over to Scotland at some point too. But, for now we have finished our shopping, wrapping and decorating and are taking a day or two to just chill out and relax before the boys get here and the holidays really get under way. I'm sure we will be going non stop for the next week or so. Here are a few pictures from Melanie's first month :)
