Trip over the pond

Well this month Melanie took her first trip over the pond! She was an amazing traveller. She did well on all 6 of the flights we took and we got so many compliments on what a great baby she was :) she also did surprisingly well with the 5 hour time difference both when we got there and when we returned home. She really is a good girl, super easy going baby. We are very lucky. We had a lot to do on our trip and we were very, very busy. Melanie met her Great Gramps and her Auntie Nicola for the first time, as well as some of her other relatives, and spent some time visiting and getting re-aquainted with her uncles and Grandma Christine. She celebrated her first Easter,

we did some sight-seeing around Scotland

and visited with Daddy's childhood friend, his wife and their new baby Ethan

In the middle of our Scotland trip, we took a quick trip to London to visit with Danny (Gaz's "brother from another mother" as they say) and his wife Emma and their little baby Theo, who is 3 weeks younger than Melanie. It was a very exciting trip, not long enough though. We always love to catch up with Danny and Emma- and Mj and Theo became quick buddies. I wish they lived closer, but I'm sure Theo and Mj will still grow up together, even if it is from a distance. This was also my (and Melanie's, haha) first trip to London, so we did ALOT of sightseeing in a very short period of time. Dan and Emma were amazing tour guides and the babies were awesome, as usual, and just went right along with everything. We hope we get to see these guys again soon :)

Melanie's big cousin Cj met up with us in London for a bit too and got to meet Mj for the first time. We didn't get to spend nearly enough time with him, but it was definitely nice to see him.

Oh! Melanie also turned 5 months while we were gone & she learned to roll over from back to front, blow raspberries & to smile the cheesiest smile ever when the camera is on her.

I'd say our trip was a big SUCCESS!
